The common factor, you ask? Indians love their food. It plays a huge part in the country’s culture with festivals all having their own special dishes and certain foods being auspicious or even taboo on certain occasions. Food is a big deal! Even everyday meals are mostly sit-down affairs and comprise of two to three main course dishes, accompaniments like pickles, chutneys and papadums, staples like rice and roti (bread), all rounded off with something to satisfy the sweet tooth! Cooking for and sharing a meal with a guest is the ultimate sign of hospitality. While most people think Indians are largely vegetarian, Indian cuisine comprises of a dazzling array of meat, chicken and fish dishes!
Anjali Pathak is the new face of the Kenyan-Indian family which took Indian curries to supermarket shelves around the world. She took over as the culinary expert and brand ambassador for the Patak's brand only after it was acquired by the London-based international food and retail group Associated British Foods in 2007.
"It is in India's south and we are opening a gorgeous new Marriott and you are going there. " Fantastic, what an adventure! I mean how hard could it be to be? I have eaten butter chicken and rice and even attempted to cook a few naan breads. I was prepared and armed with the basics of Indian cuisine. Or so I thought. I considered myself an international foodie.

These pilgrim places ever fascinated tourist across the globe for travelling India for peace of mind.
