Chicken Yellow curry Low Priced Buffet

Don't be fooled by low prices buffet, actually low priced buffet is as good as the expensive buffet. Indian cuisine depends on spices, so no matter the price is, you go there to tangle your tongue with spices. Of course too much water afterward. Basic ingredients, rice, lamb, chicken, vegitables, expenssive or cheap depends how hungry you are.

The dangerous Buffet is when you have both North and South cuisines featured in more than 180 items to choose from, dangerous because you cannot have enough of flavors. The rich flavors are addictive, and the more choices you have your taste buds will keep asking for more.

Keep lemon rice and basmati rice on the plate, avoid sour cream flavord sauces, get the meat, Lamb curry is good, chicken marsala is good, chicken mahraga is also good mixed with lemon rice. Avoid Naan bread or any deep fried vegitables or meat.

Hey there In India and the reason I understand is that in all the Indian cultures the meal always sums up of different tastes and varietes. The meal will always have atleast one curry(dry or otherwse), the bread (naan, roti, chapati), some sort of liquid either a dal (dahl) or Raita (thats flavoured yogurt with either savouries or any of the veggies and spices), Rice (plain or varieties), Poppudum. Most of these will be there for any simple meal. And for special occassions or more eleborate meals there will be atleast a curry or two more, pickle, small serve or salad, sweetmeats and savoury and sweet and tangy rice both not to forget the drinks.

So your workmates may be getting either the bread and curry or dal which cant me mixed in advance as it would soak the bread and turn it soggy and then it will be impossible to eat it properly.

And in Indian culture the meal always has food that blends together with each other but not something that can be eaten mixed up. Even a porridge or rice meal without the breads will have some sort of curry, dahl, yogurt, poppudum, pickle as an accompaniment. So they will never be served all mixed up. It entirely is at the individuals choice of taste.

SO thats my best guess but if you are not entirely happy with this answer the best thing is just smile and politely ask them as u are not offending but just curious and those Indians will only be glad to tell you..
